There’s a party atmosphere every night at the MB Financial Park at Rosemont, Illinois. Make that all day and all night, with a dozen venues in a single complex that offer everything from bowling to upscale dining. And in the outdoor common area, you can attend concerts or Zumba classes in the summer, ice skate in the winter.

The location of the MB Financial Park couldn’t be more convenient if you’re attending an event at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. It’s a short walk from the convention center to the entertainment complex. Attend the event during the day, and in the evening let loose at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill, experience Bavaria at a replica of Munich’s famous beer hall Hofbräuhaus or split your sides laughing at Zanies Comedy Club.

We’ve attended events a couple of times this year at the convention center, and both times we spent a little extra time at the MB Financial Park. It was here that I experienced I Fly Indoor Skydiving, the closest I’ll ever come to the real thing, since I never intend to intentionally jump out of a plane.

We didn’t have time to bowl at Kings Bowling, but we did have a great hamburger lunch there.

I couldn’t leave without stocking up at the Sugar Factory. On one side the candy store has all of your favorite buy-it-by-the-pound sweets like gummies and chocolates. Then, walk through the doorway into the Chocolate Lounge for a whole different sugar experience. Here you can order adult beverages like a Chocolate Cherry Sour Pop or a Coconut Chocolate Joy martini.

There are plenty more restaurants to try at MB Financial Park, as well as the Big Ten Experience, an interactive museum in the Big Ten college athletic conference headquarters; a Movico Theater with 18 screens; and events like Open Bag Nights (bean bags).

We may not even wait for another convention center event to go back to MB Financial Park. We may make an entire day or even a weekend trip of it.
