We’re Skip and Connie Reed, empty-nest road trip enthusiasts. We’re pleased to meet you… and we’re excited to share our road trip experiences with you, fellow road tripper.
We’ll bet, like us, you often skip the interstates and travel instead along scenic and historic highways and byways. It may be the slower route, but it’s so much more relaxing, not having to deal with all that traffic.
You see a lot more Americana that way, too… roadside attractions, like Muffler Men or the world’s largest whatever. You stumble across historic sites that you didn’t realize were there… or stop for lunch at small-town, mom-and-pop diners that you know must be good simply by the number of pickup trucks parked there. Those are the kinds of places you’ll learn about in Midwest Wanderer blog posts, podcasts, and videos.

We have been spending as much time as we can in the Traverse City for years. In addition to hiking, you can snow shoe at the light house. It is also a wonderful place to picnic.

Hello Connie,
The next time you are in Springfield, Missouri, we invite you to “wander” through Relics Antique Mall, Tea room and Event Center. We are Missouri’s largest antique mall, and are 90,000 square feet of fun! Rest a spell and have lunch in our delicious Tea Room, or at least try one of our freshly made to-die-for desserts.
We have over 500 small businesses (booths) within our walls, and a relaxing, fun environment.

Like everyone to know that the Marshall Carriage Co. & Ghost Tours have a new owner. Brian Mason has sold the Company to David and Sheryl Dowding. They took ownership on July 1 2016. The Dowding’s are still providing customers with Historical Tours, Carriage Ghost Tours and a new Hearse Wagon Ghost Tours, alone with the Walking Ghost Tours and more.
