In three days exploring Fort Wayne, Indiana, my husband and I visited a top-rated children’s zoo, a science museum, a conservatory, an art museum, one of the largest genealogy centers in the country, a candy factory and a festival. I don’t know about you, but when I hear the name Hershey, I instantly start craving chocolate. Being a chocoholic, I was excited to explore Hershey, Pennsylvania, this summer, the town that Milton Hershey built around his chocolate factory. And when I heard that The Hershey Story was not only a museum, but also a place where I could do some chocolate tasting and participate in a chocolate lab, I was thrilled. My husband and I spent the better part of a day at The Hershey Story making, tasting and learning about chocolate and the Hershey Company’s history. Read more

Having visited Hendricks County several times over the past few years, I’ve noticed how different the various areas of the county are. Within minutes you can drive from a city-like atmosphere to a rural setting, and each area offers its own brand of adventure, culture and fun.
Earlier this summer we spent a week exploring North Dakota. We started our road trip with a full day in Fargo and then headed west via I-94 to Valley City where we spent the night, eager to continue exploring the following day. Read more
